Chateau Cavalier (Fr)

It's still early in the morning when we walk up to the this beautiful medieval castle. Spoiled as we've become in the last years, we find it quite hard to find a way inside. Some time later we find a small window to crawl to into the castle.

First thing I encounter is the weird, yet awesome staircase that you see in the photograph. The angle is just too weird. This is no wide angle lens distortion, this is how it is.

We stroll around the castle and are amazed that so much stuff and furniture is still present. After we've done a quick round we each go our way and start taking photographs. We meet each other at the attic. I'm done for now at the attic, I'll come back later.

One floor down, I hear Paul walking around above me and then walking to the other side of the castle.

Then I hear footsteps on the staircase near me. They're loud steps. Is that Paul trying to fuck with me? :-) I'm not sure. I'm as quiet as I can be.

"Bonjour! Gendarmerie!", I hear just outside the room i'm in. I'm thinking: no way! Not again. I've never been caught in eight years and now twice in a row?

It was no joke of Paul, it was the police. We are escorted outside and the owners of the castle are standing there. More curious about what idiots we are and why we went inside then that they're mad.

We try to explain what we do. The owners don't get it, but they're obviously relieved that we didn't steal or broken anything.

We just get a warning. But it sucks to be kicked out of a great location before I had the chance to make all the photographs I'd seen during the 'quick round'
