Apaches over Bedfordshire

I live in a county dotted with airfields; Cardington's big airship hangars are about 5 miles from our home, while nearby Old Warden houses the Shuttleworth Collection of historic aircraft. Of course, Bedfordshire is where Glenn Miller was stationed during WW2 and from where he took his last flight.

Consequently, we often get exotic planes and helicopters flying over our house; from WW1 biplanes, to Spitfires, Hurricanes to Hercules and Chinooks to Lynxs. Yesterday we had the loud drone of Apaches on manoeuvres. Two kept circling over our heads during the afternoon. Pilots for the Army's Apache Squadrons are trained near Cranfield, Bedfordshire.

I only had my 70-210mm lens to hand and this was the best I could get.
