The spiders web on the old tree - My entry for todays "Looking close... on Friday!" theme "tree bark"

This linden tree was first mentioned in books in 1643, so it is more than 400 years old. It can be found next to a church (Feldkirche) in Neuwied, Germany. The tree was used as a court place and is surrounded by stone benches and a table were the judge and the jury took a seat.
