2012-06-05 101 V1 Oban Waverley Trip light aircraft through exhaust heat haze
This strange object is a light aircraft which followed Waverley for some distance circling round us. I managed to catch it through the heat haze from Waverley's funnel and thought it made an unusual photo.
Waverley is often followed by various boats and aircraft or helicopters. Two days earlier a helicopter had followed us for some while along the Sound of Mull, and we encountered jet skis in Loch Linnhe.
Anyone able to identify the type of aircraft?
