Looking Beyond

We spend a lot of time looking at what’s right in front of us. The things we expect to see, the details that fit neatly into the frame we’ve built in our heads. But the real story? That’s usually just beyond the edges.

It’s like standing in a quiet place, hearing the wind move through the trees. The sound isn’t just the leaves—it’s the space between them, the way the air carries the moment. Same goes for what we see. We catch a glimpse, we assume we understand, and we move on.

But if we take a breath, if we let ourselves lean in just a little more, we find something deeper.

Most of life works that way. The most meaningful things aren’t always obvious. They’re in the pause between words, the hesitation before a decision, the thoughts that linger in someone’s eyes before they ever say a thing.

And the trick isn’t to chase it down, to demand answers -

it’s to stay curious enough to notice when something asks to be seen.
