Cassin's Kingbirds: Talking to a Deaf Ear

Tyrannus vociferans,

Audubon Overlook,

Los Osos, California

 

I saw a number of these birds gathering--up to 13 in view at once--around what I assume was a potential food source. My suspicion was some nearby ivy berries. Two days later another birder counted 28 in that neighborhood.
