Clean

Another Saturday night, another commission for the CLAP (Chief Logistics And Parenting) Officer, better known as Taxi driver. However on the plus side, it did facilitate an impromptu meeting with Andy Rouse and Emma Conroy at Salford Quays, the Northern home for the BBC and ITV together with a fine selection of supermarket trolleys, discarded footballs and other floating detritus.

That sounds like I'm not selling it too well but seriously it is quite a smart development with a great number of photo opportunities, particularly at night when the pretty lights come on.

When Andy said he wanted to 'batter the Keys' this year, I imagined a variation on the theme of the well known Glaswegian culinary art together with a shed load of Gaviscon afterwards! Clearly I misunderstood.

We arrived with the hope of a decent sunset which unfortunately never really materialised however whilst Andy concentrated on the lovely golden hour light I got a bit carried away. I spent a good while with my eye firmly glued to the viewfinder and drawn to some lovely swirling reflections. The gentle movement of the water created quite a mesmeric effect.

I remarked at the time that this upload would surely draw questions on the use of psychotropic substances but I can reassure you, unless a chocolate milkshake counts, I did it clean!

youtu.be/I9OEdlU0eqo and a few more thrown in for good measure!

Incidentally, if you weren't sure, this is the reflection of the Imperial War Museum North, but I really didn't need to point that out.
