approx lifesize then cropped to nearly 100%.

 

Light using an off camera canon Speedlight 430EX II in manual mode 1/32 power triggered using the Canon wireless IR trigger of the 7D

Stofen diffuser fitted to the flash head.

 

I missed focus on the shot I had visualised in my head so I cropped it to just the wing detail.

 

I never realised they had small hair like structures on the underside of the wings.
