Red or Blue ?

I need to chose my entry for my photo club "RED" themed competition from the shot above and this one www.flickr.com/photos/marklandon/4388499210/in/photostream/

My initial thoughts are to go with this one vs the silhouette portrait as it's a bit more abstract and I like the clean lines of the black and white plus a touch of red... plus I think it's clever to have blue in red.

 

Any feedback on which you'd choose and why is most welcome.
