Downtown Flint, Michigan, USA - the Flint river's shore and a public event held there for Friday night. We visited this rather poor city because I was reading Michael Moore books at the time, who was originally from this car manufacturing town, in steady decline for the last decades. We exited the highway on Friday afternoon before the long weekend in June 2006, and made a few turns in the downtown, finally stopping at a playground so that the kids could get out of the car. The whole town showed signs of urban decay as we expected, nevertheless had a distinct American character which I always liked.

A hosszú hétvége előtti péntek este érkeztünk ide, autós kirándulásunk első napján, elsősorban azért térve le az autópályáról, mert akkoriban Michael Moore-könyveket olvastam, aki innen származott. A város az amerikai autógyártás egyik központja volt régebben, de a cégekkel együtt a városnak is leáldozott már évtizedekkel ezelőtt, és azóta mindenütt a pusztulás jeleit mutatja. Jellegzetes amerikai kisváros, amik viszont mindig is nagyon tetszettek nekem.
