Corner of Ocean and View of the Sea
Tonight was the first sunset I've been able to shoot after work in weeks. I ran out of the office and sped home on the 101. I parked down my block and ran to the bluff...and used the autobracket function on my camera for the first time in quite a while.
More than anything I was excited to sit down and use the new Lightroom 4 BETA version. It's pretty darn good. The fill light and recovery have huge improvements and LR4 actually has color channels...yet another reason to not go into Photoshop. The new features on the brushes are great, too, with highlights, shadows and white balance. But so far my favorite is the NOISE REDUCTION brush! I've always loved the power of LR3's noise reduction but hated doing it on a global scale and adding layers. I'll never use a noise reduction plug-in again. Check out Lightroom 4 BETA--it's a free public download through (I believe) March. If adobe finds a way to add a content aware brush I'll give the upgrade an A+.
-Nikon D7000
-Nikkor 16-35mm/f4
-Really Right Stuff TVC-33 Tripod, BH-55 LR Ballhead and D7000 L-Plate

Photomatix 4.1 for Exposure Fusion (I've been messing with this over tonemapping a bit lately and I'm liking the results thus far) > LR4 for tons of new feature tests > onOne Perfect Effects for Amazing Detail Sharpener
