There’s a Long Road Ahead and So Very Straight
There’s a Long Road Ahead and So Very Straight
Many places to visit while others places to go
Dashed line ahead of me seemingly never end
Will I have the time to visit them?
Are there enough days?
Okay, slow down...take a deep breath
You have time
One day at a time, like the dashes
Tomorrow will take care of itself
Yesterday is a memory shared
Okay, back in the car and drive ahead
Maybe I’ll walk a little bit
And let time pass me by while I smile
Another work of short poetry or prose to complement the image captured one morning at a roadside pullout along the Trans-Canada Highway/MOM's Way not far from Mine Centre, Ontario. My thought in composing this image had been to squat down a little bit while using the LiveView LCD screen to line up and pick a focus point. The rest was setting the exposure and all that while off on the side of the road and waiting for moments when no vehicles were present.
