I’ve Seen So Many Beautiful Places in My Travels (Yosemite National Park)
I’ve Seen So Many Beautiful Places in My Travels
One might think I would tired or yawn at seeing another
But the contrary happens
My heart races, my eyes sparkle and there’s a joy present
So no, I do not tired of seeing things beautiful
And will make more plans in the future :-)
Another work of short poetry or prose to complement the image captured one early afternoon in Yosemite National Park while at the Yosemite Valley View. This setting has a view looking to the northeast across the Merced River and trees and mountains of Yosemite Valley. With the water levels of the river quite low, it brought about a stillness in the waters that allowed for reflections of the nearby trees and iconic mountains with El Capitan and Cathedral Rocks. My thinking in composing this image was to use the higher ground I was standing on with the boulders and angle my Nikon SLR camera to capture a more sweeping view across this Yosemite landscape. That would in turn bring the peaks and ridges higher into the image, kind of creating a more grand type view as I saw that Wednesday afternoon.
I chose to work initially with Aurora HDR Pro to better bring that complete setting in the image. I later exported a TIFF image to DxO PhotoLab 5 where I did some final adjustments with contrast, saturation and brightness for the final image.
