A setting looking to the north while taking in views across ancient bristlecone pine forest from the parking area at the Schulman Grove. According to peakbagger web site this is looking up Discovery Peak. My thinking in composing this image was to capture the view looking up the mountainside with the woodland setting. The whites of the mountains of the soil and rock would be that color contrast to bring out more the colors of the trees.
