My Treatment for Ailments in Things Wild Outside (Petrified Forest National Park)

A view looking to the east to the Agate Bridge in Petrified Forest National Park. This is on the main trail approaching the petrified log that is the bridge before one makes a choice to go to either side. With this image, I decided to use the nearby terrain and then angle my Nikon SLR camera slightly downward, so that it created a more sweeping view to the Agate Bridge itself. That would allow for including landscape both before and after the bridge and petrified log, as well as keeping a portion of the blue skies above. I felt the latter created a color complement and contrast to the more Earth-tones in the surrounding landscape. I later worked with control points in DxO PhotoLab 4 and then made some adjustments to bring out the contrast, saturation and brightness I wanted for the final image.
