Light thru the Trees
I was asked a wee while ago to put this one up one here. I'd previously added it as a comments picture. Its not the full version of the one from a few days ago but a 16:9 crop of the one from November. I kept that as a panoramic crop in colour as the sky at the top of the frame was distracting. However, I really liked the shape of the trees when they were allowed more room and in particular I liked the way the light lit up the various wee bit of foliage. However, being a bit of a B&W nut I felt that this particular crop worked far better in mono. It might be that others won't like it as they will far prefer the colour version. As regards the mono processing I'm fairly sure that it started life using a preset supplied by Scott Masterton - rather an accomplished photographer and one whose photostream I would advise you to have a wee look at.
PS - full size this image is 11060x6221 and is a six frame stitch taken with the Nikon 60mm macro lens so the detail is rather immense full size (if you like that sort of thing).
