Marquisde says: I love MOSS! I love the tone of green, how it clings to stone and statues. It's so peaceful and makes areas quiet and serene. This photo exemplifies this.

Marquisde says: BAMBOO is one of the things I love about Japan. I Love the shapes and lines, but mostly the green! The bamboo Grove in Arashiyama in Kyoto is beautiful, and here's an amazing shot of it. Great angle and light. I can imagine samurai sneaking around in the grove.

Marquisde says: Any country that admires beauty enough to have a word for flower viewing is ok by me. HANAMI, is great fun. While it literally means enjoying the beauty of flowers, typically sakura (blossoms), it really means day or night parties under the sakura trees. It really is amazing drinking and eating street food under a canopy of white with "snow" faling with every gust of wind. Heaven!. I love the tone of this shot and how magical and surreal the scene looks.

Marquisde says: FACT. No-body does a GARDEN better than the Japanese! No body probably spends as much time or effort either making it beautiful. Japan has the most beautiful flora in the world and they know how to make it even more aesthetic. Such beautiful greens, use of stone and waterways. I wish I was sitting by this pond right now.

Marquisde says: Japan is a place of festivals and you've gotta love a country that celebrates SNOW and holds a Yuki matsuri. It's beautifully lit up at night and such a serene and surreal experience I'd imagine. Something I want to see some time.

Marquisde says: You have to love SAKURA and also love a country that loves sakura. The Japanese don't take the beauty for granted, and this shot captures the moment beutifully. It truly is serreal walking through a grove of trees with petals falling all around you.
