56124, Cambois

A rather shabby looking 56124 slows on the approach to Freemans L.C at Cambois with another load of coal for Blyth Power Station on 4th April 1990. 56124 was well known in the late 80's for carrying it's 'Blue Circle Cement' nameplates, these were removed in late 1989 (or early January 1990). The former "namer" clung onto it's BR Large Logo livery for a while longer, not receiving a coat of trainload coal until late 1992/early 1993, 56124 and 56126 were the final Class 56's in BR Large Logo Blue.
