Eltz Castle is a hilltop castle from the 12th century and one of the most famous of its kind in Germany. It is located at 129 m above sea level. NHN in the Elz valley, a left tributary of the Moselle in Rhineland-Palatinate. In the possession of the noble Eltz family for more than 800 years, the building has largely been preserved. It is one of the fortifications in the Eifel that were never conquered by force. The castle is open to the public and a popular destination.

NHN im Tal der Elz, einem linken Nebenfluss der Mosel in Rheinland-Pfalz. Seit mehr als 800 Jahren im Besitz der Adelsfamilie Eltz, ist das Bauwerk weitgehend erhalten.
