Happiness is not defined by the quantity of pleasures, however it is directly connected with character and the development of personal qualities. Even though life full of delights is a cherished dream of a human being, in practice, it transforms a person into onlooker, but not to the life participant. Real life forces human to look for decisions, to overcome difficulties. Without overcoming these difficulties we do not self-improve, do not use our potential at our best. Happiness is just a moment. Character, on the contrary, is a certain constant.
