An Adventure with Macy Gray: The Rabbits 6.20.14
The other day, my cat Macy Gray and I went on a little photo adventure, searching for fun photo subjects. With a combination of Macy's help and my alertness to my surroundings, we came across a rabbit couple we had discovered the week before. This was not the first time I encountered rabbits, and it isn't even the first time I had photographed one. The last time I had done so was back in 2005! He was somewhat far away, and neither of us was too in tune to the other. Two shots, and I was done. I moved on to the next subject at hand. Perhaps I didn't even have the patience or enough interest for it at the time. Amazing how our experiences direct us to the next step. All those steps lead us down our destined path. These paths usually are not straight or easy ones. Even this little adventure is a great example of that. When I finally did get close, the accomplishment was ever so sweet. I wasn't using an extreme zoom. I was using my 100mm macro lens. I had only my natural ability of getting up close and personal and the development of trust to capture some great moments. And THAT, is what I, my business, and my community website, are all about. We, as a species, are losing the ability OR desire to communicate with each other. It is a sad state of affairs.
