Allium aflatunense 5.8.14: "Bursting Open"
5.13.14: This is not a hyacinth calyx. It's Allium aflatunense. I thought at first it was hyacinth, because it was among hyacinth, and the buds within the calyx looked like hyacinth buds. However, this morning, I went down to take some photos in the same spot, and saw that this calyz had burst open, and flowered.
