A Trip to Zuccotti Park 10.16.11
Wall Street. Can't go down there without taking a photo of the Trump Buidling. Wall Street = Money. Trump = Money. Trump = Wall Street? The Trump Building. Figures. Only the best for him lol. Now an historic landmark, this was formerly known as The Manhattan Company Building. It was built between 1929-1930, and for a brief period of time, was the tallest building in the world, until a spire was attached to The Chrysler Building, a few months later, making it the tallest at the time. The Bank of The Manhattan Company was founded by Aaron Burr in 1799, then a US Senator, and later Vice President of The United States. JP Morgan (Chase) "traces" its beginnings to The Bank of The Manhattan Company. It has a most fascinating history. You can learn more on Wikipedia and on the JP Morgan Chase website. Donald Trump purchased the building in 1995. This photo is part of a photo series that tells the visual story of my trip to Zuccotti Park on this day. Each photo in the series contributes meaning and significance to the story.
