My first time using my portrait lens f 1.2 ever, and ever for a live event. I got extremely lucky. I just shot how I felt, and apparently it worked. Some things I learned along the way that were very important to shoot something successfully. Don't let anything distract you. Be prepared going in. Get there as early as possible. Take as much downtime in the space as possible by yourself. Get to know the space and the potential challenges that might present themselves when shooting.
