First Magnolia Buds and Flowers NYC 4.9.14
First Magnolia buds and flowers of Spring. And the sky was just glorious. Magnolias bloom relatively early, but their lifespan is short, so you have to be quick with the camera. Going back down to tomorrow to capture more. One tree didn't even have buds yet. So there's still hope for capturing the right magnolia moment! Usually shoot flowers with my macro lens, but today the zoom just had to do. It worked, and captured the good mood of the day. © Maria Dorothea Campbell 2014
