Bur Juman station symbolizes the rapid growth of Dubai, which has been a sleepy fishing village until 1970s.
The luxury chandeliers are anything but jellyfishes drifting at the mercy of the waves. The fan-shaped ceiling is a memorial of pearl oysters which divers used to collect within the sea.
The past is gone, but I think getting back to the roots is important to live in the present, and to believe in the future.
