Nightlife, Shinjuku Golden Gai

Passing by Kabuki-Cho and Path of Four Seasons, I arrived to the entrance to unique nightlife in Tokyo.

Golden-Gai is an area of 200 tiny shanty-style bars and popular among foreign tourists lately.

Six narrow alleys are connected by narrower passageways and wooden row houses, most of which were built at the end of the war, are squeezed into this small area.

It's worth mentioning that each bar and restaurant has a particular theme, such as music, film, literature, drama, cosplay, cartoon, gay and so on. Although most of the bars welcome only regular customers, I'm sure Golden-Gai is one of the best places to enjoy cool culture of Japan.
