Natalia Osipova (24) is currently one of the leading ballerinas of the famous Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow and one of the most talked-about dancers to emerge on the Russian stage in the last decade. This 2004 graduate from the Moscow Choreographic Academy is a petite, raven-haired beauty boasting the energy of an atomic powerplant, the carefree spirit of a teenage girl, yet also the magnetism and aplomb of a fully-fledged ballerina. Osipova's artistry is reminiscent of the old Muscovite performing tradition, if shaped in a contemporary mould.

Multi-awarded at home and abroad, her international career took off last year with her performances with New York's American Ballet Theatre in Giselle and La Sylphide. Earlier this year Osipova also debuted with the Paris Opera Ballet in Nureyev’s Nutcracker and with La Scala in Nureyev’s Don Quixote. She reappeared with ABT in their 2010 Spring Season at the Met.
