353/365 - 19 December 2013: Such a ham.
This is Wally 24 hours after he ingested over half a pound of dark chocolate. We're so happy to see his smiling face again. He was monitored over night at the animal hospital. He was severely dehydrated due to vomiting so he was given anti-vomiting medication and activated charcoal. He's also still taking in fluids, but he's doing great. His protein and hydration levels are back to normal. However, his heart rate is still high. It was almost twice the normal rate, as was expected from the chocolate consumption, but it has gradually gone down since. So that's being closely monitored. The doctor believes he can be discharged by Saturday. Thank you all for your caring support and prayers! <3
