a hike in the clouds
This was taken after climbing Silver Star a while back. Much of the hike was obscured by fog and clouds, which meant it was gorgeous in a moody way. When we got to the top, the view opened up a bit down the valley. I think my mouth literally dropped open when I saw the color that dotted the hillsides.
This image is actually in the 2012 calendar, so I figured I'd better get it posted :-) Thank you all for your interest this year in the calendars, as I think I'm up to 42 of them that have been officially sold. It's so heartening to picture them in the households of my friends and contacts.
Taken with a Hasselblad 500 C/M.
