a glimpse into the allium forest

At least, that's what I think this flower is (an allium). I found a few of them growing at a friend's place and couldn't resist a ten-minute session with my macro lens, handheld at the end of my digital Nikon.

 

I've been rotating flower photos as my desktop image, and this one currently occupies the screen. Eventually I'll grow tired of this image's purple-blue world, but for now, I'm rather fond of it. :)
