Man of Yorkshire
ex London Transport RM504, WLT504, Stagecoach, Magicbus, United Counties and now in Toronto Ontario Canada! EDS48A Routemaster Park Royal.
A colourful career by any stretch! New to London I think in 1960 as RM504. Think it was sold in 1985/6 to Stagecoach who used it on Magicbus in Perth in Stripey livery. Then it went to Glasgow (October 86) to work services there.I've seen it written that it was originally with Clydeside Scottish who then became part of Western Scottish. In 1987 it was reregistered from WLT504 to EDS48A. Recorded as going to United Counties in 1988. Its then recorded as going to PVS Carlton dealer for presumably scrap in August 1990. Now its in CANADA. It has the registration BN7993 and I think its Open Top. Its been with City Sightseeing and was last recorded with Magic Bus (The Irony eh) t/a Bus & Boat Tours who acquired it June 2009 from Picton Ontario. All this from what was a chance 'snap' at I think Bedford Bus station in the late80s. The above info is only what Ive managed to piece together and is open to correction if you can tell me otherwise. Enjoy!
