1960s Dole pineapple can
I wasn't even planning on hitting any tag sales....no vehicle at the moment...but did have to run a quick errand- saw a crappy tag sale...stopped anyways - managed to talk my way into the basement and got this stuff......
the bummer part..this couple's parents owned a liquor store way back.....but they had just taken a bunch of stuff to the dump (one of the items remaining was a Naragansett clock- that was going to the dump too...but one of the pickers there grabbed it immediately.....so she decided to keep it) - hopefully someone snagged all the good stuff at the dump....they also had a nice Squirt thermometer - a Star Beer (or Ale) thermometer ...round...looked kind of crude..some wire racks with soda branding (Cliquot Club....Country Club)....all this in an unassuming 1960s ranch house.......wonder what they tossed.....wouldn't you go to the dump *after* the sale...(of course...the sale itself had tupperware and baby toys and coffee mugs.......the sort of stuff that needs to go to the dump...heh)
all of these were full of nails..one dollar for the bunch......mostly 60s ...some 70s...
kinda scary to think how much of this I would have if I went to a lot of sales...I guess this stuff isn't that rare (at least compared to truly usless things like food boxes and chip bags....)
