Toni in black and white

The seven deadly Flickr sins!

Simple spiel this time. Both on here and away from Flickr, I've been asked for something a wee bit closer of Toni as opposed to what you've had so far. Basically, here you go.

As I write this, I've spent all night chatting with her, talking about future shoots, meeting Christie Wright and drinking posh coffee while setting the world to rights. As chats go, it doesn't get much better. However, seeing as I'm typing this in a literal 'going out live' kinda manner this time, as opposed to something which makes sense any time, I'm going to share something else with you lucky Flickr peeps.

Toni's a pretty private lady, keeps herself to herself for reasons known to her and a lucky few friends. All you guys get to know is that she doesn't have things easy, and that life's pretty shit for her a lot of the time. I knew this when I started getting to know her, but it didn't prepare me for the little magic moment that happened tonight.

Toni got her email with her photos in a few hours ago, and got to see herself in this 'model' guise for the first time since we shot, and it touched her. It did her some good to see herself like this, and it reminded me of something all too easy to forget when you vanish into the corners of the world of taking pictures. Pictures can, and do mean things to people, they have the power to impact and make a difference. So here am I listening to her chatting away online tonight, as she describes this act, and I realised that here is this woman, who seems to have completely revolutionised how my pictures come to be, has completely got inside my head in every good way possible, and given me such immense gifts, and she's telling me photographs I took of her, have moved her.

That's a gift. This woman made me well up tonight, and for all those fucking happy reasons.

Toni, you rock.
