Write something beautiful
When I visited Beijing this year, I met an incredible man. Recently retired, he could be found at the same park everyday, writing poems. He spends most of his days meeting new people—locals, children, and tourists from all over the world—and crafts short poems that celebrate each person. Using only water for ink and a home-made brush, he writes until the ground shimmers with his calligraphy. Even though the poem he wrote about me evaporated, the sentiment will stay with me forever.
