Reluctant Models

Out on 23 November for a 10 mile circular walk with ianbartlett and ajlelliott. We started in Alfriston and walked up a nice gentle path to the top of The South Downs (most paths out of Alfriston are vertical!!) The sun was out, but there was still a nip in the air. The views were wonderful and it was great watching the sunshine dance over the landscape.

We had lunch on the outskirts of Alciston and afterwards we deviated from our planned route. Instead of taking the level path back to Alfriston, Tony suggested we go back up onto The Downs. He managed to find the most vertical of routes (not a path on the map) and I had to cling onto a barbed wire fence so that I didn't slip down. Anyways, we got back up to top of the hills and it was well worth the effort as the sunshine was magnificent.
