Metal and Polymer Clay Snail Candle holder

I found this cool old metal Snail candle holder at the thrift store and brought him home and covered his shell with polymer clay. I added texture to his shell and cured him in the oven, then painted the shell with acrylic and metallic paint.

I love the contrast between the shiny metal finish of the snail and the rather matte finish of his shell. He measures 5" long by 2.5" tall and is pretty heavy!
