Free Comic Book Day @ the Library

The Manatee County Public Library System is pleased to announce Free Comic Book Day: A giveaway for children and teens that will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.

 

Open to everyone, each child and teen in attendance will receive one comic book WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. Advance registration is not required for this free event.

 

Four of the locations in the library system will be participating: The Central Library in downtown Bradenton, the Braden River Branch Library in East Bradenton, the Rocky Bluff Branch Library in Ellenton, and the South Manatee Branch Library in Bradenton.

 

Special programs such as this are made possible by funds provided by the Friends of the Library organization at each of the participating libraries. The Friends are support organizations for Manatee County’s libraries. Monies raised by the Friends go toward programs and services that tax dollars alone cannot provide.
