It is very interesting that Christmas and Easter were originally Pagan festivals linked into the Northern hemispheres Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. The Pagans were some of the first peoples to domesticate animals and plants and settle down along the fertile river systems after their ancestors had been hunters and gathers for many thousands of years.
When Christianity was born in Israel 2012 years ago with the birth of Christ not only did He have the pressure of the Jewish believers and the Roman Idol Worshipers to contend with but He also had a very strong religious backlash from the Pagan religion, which was rooted into a Matriarch system of beliefs.
Now in 2012 throughout the world we have a very large population of people who no longer see themselves as followers of any religion who go out of there way to embrace the celebrations of Christmas and the Christian Calendars New Years day and Easter.
In today’s 2012 Western societies, which the majority of their populations are now practicing materialists the Pagan Festivities are stronger than ever.
Instead of worshipping the Pagan change of seasons or the Divine Messenger of Jesus Christ today’s modern materialist worships Santa Claus and hock themselves into personal debts worth many thousands each year.
Social Reality is created by humans for a reason and their ancestors continue to celebrate those events even when they have no idea why they are celebrating them thousands of years later but what is far more tragic is they will kill each other if you try to change those social realities into new, more relative celebrations connected to their time frames purpose.
