Sacred Jarrah Forest 1

In this set of video’s are some very special and I believe very sacred places in a small corner of a State Forest area in Karragullen in Western Australia.

Over the past 5 years I have visited this part of the bush on many occasions and it was only on this most recent visit that I became aware that all these amazing places were all in the exact same part of the forest.

In the sixth video I do a circular sweep of this part of the forest and show each individual tree that has slowly revealed itself to me over these past 5 years.

Until this most recent visit I had no idea I was always within meters of each of these sacred places.

On reflection about this I believe the sacred realm knew I could not have taken them all in at once and that I had to experience their reality one small bite at a time.

Each tree in its own sacred space brought to me, over these past 5 years, many profound realities that have helped me shape new understandings of myself within the context of my ancestors relationships with this forest and this sacred and ancient land.

In turn this process has helped me receive a deeper understanding of my relationship to this ancient forest growing out from this sacred land.

But now after all those awakenings that each site has brought to my spirit and soul it is time for me to gestalt to another level and see them now , with each individual tree and place all united together as a symbol of unity within my own self.

A form of convergence, uniting of higher and lower selves, of my mind and heart through these reflections and loves and understandings and wisdoms revealed ever so slowly to me by each tree and forest experience over those years.

What was even more amazing is the strong, very strong push to video them and the even stronger push to share them with the world now. It is now time to let others experience their healing spirit. It is time to tell their story. To give a voice to their truth and reality.

Jarrah reaching tall,

Stretching towards the sun,

Very old,

Very delicate,

No nourishment,

in the ancient depleted soils,

native trees dump their own,

leaves, twigs, seed heads,

flowers all year round,

creating a blanket,

thick on the forest floor.

Complete centres get burnt out,

tree survives,

thin layer growing on,

outside rim,

pulling nutrients up, up, up,

pulling in carbon monoxide

pumping out oxygen,

balancing water, minerals,

pumping down, down, down,

the cycle is complete.

Unique plants and animals,

Evolving over millions of years,

In this tiny corner,

On the last continent,

Settled by the most advanced civilisation,

Called Terra Australis Ignota.

Not aware they had stepped,

Moved into the oldest land,

Full of the most ancient people,

Still hunting and gathering,

Both sides unaware of spirits plan,

Thrusting them together,

160 years back.

Time is running out,

To learn from each other,

To receive the wealth,

Gifts each holds for the other,

Oil on water,

Needing to unit,

Bond,

Become one,

Staining their spirit and souls,

Into the fabric of life,

Destiny dictates and demands,

Convergence of understandings,

Wisdoms and love.
