A state and spirit of being registered, being acknowledged as being created and within a place; either by word, paint, dance, film, music or any other creative expressive medium.
He sits on his prison hammock bed starring into the dream world he has created there on his prison cell limestone wall. Projecting out from within the depths of his memories of his past 20 years spent exploring and hunting in the bush-land that is him. Being physically separated from such a large part of who he once was is still taring and hemorrhaging at every part of his physical and spiritual being.
Tom, as the jail warden’s call him now sees on the limestone wall, there in front of him, the shadows of the tall gum trees he calls brother and sister. He slowly remembers the golden dawn light breaking over the hills to the east as it slowly illumined the whole forest for another day.
In his mind he hears the gentle rustle of a Kangaroo moving through the bush under story of grass-trees, native shrubs and grasses all in full bloom. The pungent smell of eucalyptus seeps deeply into every part of his being as he remembers the bright blue morning sky filling with large red tailed cockatoos passing overhead migrating south for there summer retreat.
Bathed in a sense of awe and wonderment feeling every part of himself pulsating with being alive right there at that very second he then experiences the sensation of freedom. The feeling of being one with all that surrounded him. Tom is no longer a prisoner he walks back among his family, he walks among his very being. One with himself, one with all that lives in this land his ancestors have lived in for thousands and thousands of centuries.
Ancestors that had not needed to develop drums for war. Ancestors that had been protected and isolated in their Stone Age development stage longer than any other peoples alive on the planet at that same point in time. Ancestors that still had oral history right back to their own creation stories. Ancestors that had no story or healing medicines designed to help Tom or any of his people or native animals and bush survive now. This ancient people and country had nothing left except trust in Great Spirit and the ancient memories to survive this almighty collision with the most materially advanced culture on the planet at that same point in time.
Added to each image in this album are their inspired stories to this emerging family HISHERTREE.
Each image has a word title that would have been spelt in English with "try" at the end like ancestry, carpentry, or infantry. I have added "tree" to replace the "try" and then taken their dictionary meanings that are only ever describing the outside physical world and married some spiritual elements.
