Irma Beryl Woolley (nee Allen) 36

This photograph shows the social life of the majority of Australians during the 1900's.

The Hotel culture of drinking as the central focus of all social contact and interaction led to more breakdowns of the social fabric and family structures over that century than any other action in the history of the development of Australia.

Even in todays social fabric alcohol is still ripping apart families and communities throughout the whole country, some States fairing far worse than others.

In this new 21st century alcohol is now being abused by children and teenager's to excessive amounts. There is now a culture throughout the high school age groupings throughout the Australian country of expectation of getting drunk and bing drinking is a"passage of rights" for both young males and females.

Even the parents of these young people have a belief it is better they get this out of there system before they get older or it is what this age does is it not?
