POWER OF EMOTIONS & FEELINGS PUT INTO WORDS…
Another reality the children have taught me is the critical need to hear your own feelings and emotions being spoken and put into your own words.
Verbal language, speaking comes from the thinking brain and the emotions and feelings come from the emotional feeling brain and until your ear hears your own voice speak about your own feelings and emotional take on any situation your own thinking brain cannot actually think about them. Until this is experienced the bridges between these brains cannot be built.
One of the major benefits of going to a councillor/therapist comes from this action of being allowed to speak freely about your emotions and feelings without being judged, shamed, attacked, or embarrassed.
For the majority of us we do not need a professional to sit and listen to our feelings and emotions so our own thinking brain can hear the words and then be able to thing about them.
What we do need to accept, every one of us, children included is to be given space and time to speak, to hear our own feelings and emotional feelings.
Creating opportunities in safe spaces to speak our emotions and feelings so our own thinking brain can build bridges of unity between our brains needs to become a human right from childhood to the elderly.
While asking the children questions and genuinely wanting to know and understand their feelings and emotion, connected to their memories, the child gets the opportunity to hear their own feelings and emotions which then allows their thinking brain to hear so it in turn can think about them and begins the process of building bridges between their brains.
Which in turn allows healing of the hurt feelings and confused emotional memories which in turn allows detachment, forgiveness and allows room for new visions based on love and not anger and fear.
If adults would stop long enough to listen to children’s feelings and emotions and create a safe space for the children’s thinking brains to hear their own feelings, emotion, memories and stories the children can be empowered to do their own reflection, pondering, meditating and contemplation while building those inner bridges connecting and unifying all the brains.
This is a foundational need to empowerment and how resilience gets built within the individual. The vision that speaks to and informs each soul gets formed in this process. No human being just hears someone else’s thoughts or vision without going through a process of trying the new information on to see where it fits and children are also doing this. Like going into a shop and trying on cloths to see what fits and looks good on us.
Escalating declining mental health and increases of depression and suicide rates at all ages is an epidemic sweeping the modern western world and our children need any support they can get now not to simply become numbers and statistics for the a future generation media reports.
POWER OF UTTERANCE...
The children I work with have usually failed more times than they have succeeded. They usually have given up on adults and do not trust any system the adults want to use to fix them.
Now this also means 80% of these students have missed out on learning sounds. If the sounds are not learned all other learning falls away into nothing land and you are left with a child in a state of perpetual failing hopelessness, or self-hate for being so stupid or dumb.
After working out what kind of learner they are and testing in a safe way what sounds they do or do not know I explain that this is a very big reason they are struggling in all other areas. The relief on the children’s faces when they hear they can find a way out of the horrid place of hopelessness and despair is profound and telling in its self.
I found a solution the children could take back into their classroom to achieve continues advancement to get themselves up to par with other students which did not require me being with them or adding to their teachers already over flowing commitments.
What was missing in the majority of these children was they were not getting to hear their own voices. The power of speech, utterance, hearing yourself speak, or singing, or chanting, or reading out loud is the only way the bridges in the brain can be built between eyes/feeling brain to the ears/thinking brain and doing/instinct brain. It is this foundational process of “hearing your own voice” that builds these bridges which is a critical element in learning at all levels.
To achieve unity between the 3 brains these bridges need to be built and you are never too old to start to build them.
As the human brain grows and develops over thousands and thousands of years so does the growth and development of the super human power of speech, words, talking, utterance and language.
What you see in each individual human development of speech and brain growth you also see the same growth and development patterns in the collective human races growth and development. What is in the Macro is the same pattern in the Micro.
The children have shown me that the more they get to talk and share their ideas and thoughts with adults and the adults take the time to listen and respectively reflect back to the children accepting and genuine belief in the child the stronger the child’s abilities increase in the classrooms.
The more the children get to develop their language, vocabulary and communication skills while talking to the adults around them the stronger their reading, writing , thinking, reflection and pondering capacities also grow and strengthen. The stronger their thinking and reflection skills develop the more the human brain grows and develops. The communication skills are symbiotic with brain growth and development.
So does anyone know why most adults do not want to talk to children? What is so scary for most adults to find out how children see the world around them or find out how the child is feeling about the world they are growing up in? Why do most parents work so hard to get their children to talk and as soon as they are able to talk they no longer want to hear what they have to say?
Classroom teachers around the world set all sorts of amazing information in front of the children and as soon as the children see and hear this information they immediately burst into speech with their friends sitting next to them with excitement and joy with what they have just learned and 90% of classroom teachers read this behaviour as being disrespectful and shut them all down immediately. Why and when did adults create such a false reality of what children were doing here was evil and wrong and disrespectful to the adults?
Children need to put into words immediately what they have just learned so they can hear their thoughts out loud to build bridges of learning across to their other brains and learning styles to fully comprehend what they have just learned.
As teachers are being forced to take on more and more of what communities and parents used to be responsible for in the education and training of their children those children are falling further and further behind in their language, social, emotional and spiritual strengths. Let’s be honest here humanity; teachers are only responsibly for their parts and parents and communities need to take back and except their roles and responsibilities in raising solid and resilient children.
As I have been observing this process and trying to understand what the children are actually doing I learned from the children that it does not matter how many times they hear theteacher, parent or others say words or a sound it is the child’s own voice being heard by their own ear that builds the bridges in the brain between the different brains and connects the collective learning development capacities of the child.
Let me put that another way. For the human brains to connect and then be able to unify into one collective learning system each individual brain requires to hear their own voice speaking, sounds, speaking out loud for the bridges between each different brain; thinking/hearing, seeing/feeling and doing/instinct brain to work to their collective optimum.
I explain to the children if they want to learn to read or spell, or write they have to say the sounds out load for their own ears to hear their own voice and this is what builds the bridges from their eyes to their ears and to their action brain.
Every time I explain this to a child I see them breath as they understand how they can now achieve instead of failing (every child is hungry to learn). All children are looking for answers to how to empower themselves and stop being dependant on others and to achieve success instead of continuing to fail.
Another form of oppression is when a story is not allowed to be shared. When a child goes unheard that story, trauma, memory will just keep playing out or within over and over again.
Like a record stuck in a grove just repeating, reliving the experience the thinking brain will
repeat the same story memory until someone stops long enough to listen. Then and only then can the child move on and grow from their learnings they knew deep within they had to think about to move forward and mature.
The amount of adults of all ages I have sat with as they share stories they have carried all their lives, memories as far back as small babies that have continuously blocked their own social, emotional and spiritual development has been a tragedy in its self.
When those people were given opportunities to share their story, regardless of age they then were free to move forward and grow up all other social, emotional and spiritual selves.
Working with children has far more value than waiting until the individual reaches an older age to clear those stories, memories unspoken, unheard experiences blocking emotional, social and spiritual growth.
Every child on this planet needs to have adults give them time to express their own thoughts and feelings and have reflected back to them they have been heard and are valued. Then the natural continuum of maturity can be freed to advance all of humanity forward and not just a lucky few.
NOTE… Giving children power creates scared over reactive narcissistic traits. Taking away power leaves them feeling hopeless. Empowerment sits between these two extremes.
