Sacred Tree...intertwined

on this day,

159 years hence,

a Mighty Tree was felled,

sacrificed for all of humanity,

many hands,

cruelly hacked,

this Mighty Tree,

intertwining,

a smaller sapling,

both hacked,

thrown down,

onto that sacred land,

generations before,

all sprouting,

from this same Sacred Root.

 

carved into,

the raw flesh,

of this Mighty Tree,

many hundreds of mysteries,

revealed,

abundant truths,

embellished,

every carved,

sacred word,

dripping scarlet sap,

flowing like rivers,

from their dismembered limbs.

 

“Look not at the things you possess.

Look rather at the things,

God hath sent down unto you.

This, surely,

will be better for you than the whole of creation,

could you but perceive it.”
