spirit and soul of this land

she sits and waits,

silent in pain,

enduring,

motionless in body,

mind away in another place,

unknown to those that attend,

rooted deeply,

historically,

embed in Ancestry,

Creation stories,

older than recorded time,

knitted from back there,

into here and present,

married,

wedded,

welded,

spirit and land.

she still breaths,

she still lives,

remembering,

offering opportunities,

others do not apprehend.
