Grasstrees (Kingias) another feature of the Western Australian Southern forest region. Grasstrees both Kingias and Balgas (a close relative to the Kingias) were the dominant vegetation at the time of the dinosaurs. The above image is of some Kingia flowers that have a "drumstick" appearance at the end of strong flower stalks.
