Cathedral effect

seen over and over again

walking through native bush

surrounded me my entire life

living south west corner

Western Australia.

Every time

another stretch

of ancient forests

ripped down

raped and PLUNDERED

my heart weeps

as others would

when their sacred Holy buildings

being desecrated.

Samson Park

one of only two

forest areas

entire metropolitan area

have reserve protection.

Over resent years

even though humans

keep mainly to paths

thousands of dogs

every imagined size

plod through the bush

increasing by double

most paths.

-

Unless bush is fenced

off from dogs plodding paws

small delicate under-story

disappearing

replaced by weeds

encroaching even further

into bush

each new human started fire

burns ever hotter

leaving entire bush reserve

reduced to barren waste lands.
