The Imperial Senate - Coruscant
After the dark shadow of Order 66 fell upon the galaxy, the Imperial Senate became a mere facade of its former self. Once a bastion of democracy, it now stood as a hollow symbol of Emperor Palpatine's authoritarian rule. Though ostensibly retaining its legislative powers, the Senate existed under the oppressive thumb of the Galactic Empire.
Gone were the days of spirited debates and democratic decision-making. Instead, the Senate served as a platform for Imperial propaganda and rubber-stamping decrees handed down from the Emperor's throne on Coruscant. Senators who dared to oppose Palpatine's regime did so at great peril, risking not only their political careers but also their lives.
Despite its diminished role, the Imperial Senate still held a semblance of influence, particularly among the Core Worlds. Some Senators, recognizing the futility of direct opposition, resorted to clandestine alliances and covert resistance efforts, hoping to undermine the Empire from within. Yet, such acts of defiance were fraught with danger, as Imperial intelligence agencies tirelessly hunted down dissenters.
Within the hallowed chambers of the Senate, whispered conversations and secret alliances replaced open discourse. Behind closed doors, Senators plotted and schemed, maneuvering for power and influence in a galaxy gripped by tyranny. Yet, amidst the darkness, flickers of hope persisted, as brave individuals dared to challenge the Empire's grip on the galaxy, dreaming of a day when the Senate would once again stand as a beacon of democracy and freedom.
Was fun helping build this monster even if it was under intense heat 😫😅
