DARK TIMES TARGET VI: Secrets of Wild Space
Yaga Minor revealed the true nature of the Empire. During the fights of Kashyyyk, my men and I had no doughts what we fight for, the Wookies gave refuge to a group of Jedi traitors and were heavily armed, but Yaga Minor was different.
The mission was simple. High Command wanted us to secure sector 11, imperial intelligence discovered by analyzing the planet a vast natural alloy deposit right next to a colony. Imperial High Command views any witnesses of our walker project as a danger to imperial security. Admiral Kosh Teradoc made the civilians an offer to relocate their village to the far side of the planet, but the villagers refused to take it.
The uninventable had to come... The 457th Attack Corps was ordered to take over the village and secure the construction site of the walker factory. A small rebel group of the villagers tried to sabotage the construction of the factory by blocking pathways to the factory, detonating supply crates, and stealing construction material. After four rotations, Teradoc had enough and ordered us to execute Order 37. Commander Jaeger personally oversaw the mission my platoon was ordered to take out a farm close to the village. We just slaughtered those poor people. This marks the first time I have questioned the Empire.
I will never forget the look of the Twi’leks faces...
Behind the build:
This moc is my entry for Dark Times Target 6, three days before the deadline, I started a three-day challenge to finish the moc. I focused first on Commander Jaeger since I wanted to include him in the moc. He is directly inspired by a clone commander from the Star Wars Legends Dark Times Comics. After the figs were done, I started building the roundhouse. I had an excellent reference image for it, but it screamed too much tattooing, so I changed the roof to something different. I am glad to have still a “Star Wars” vibe/feel to the house since I changed a lot compared to my reference. The foliage was rather simple, but I had trouble picking the right colors, but in my mind, I think I chose the right colors. The choice of a tree made me stress I tried out multiple colors and shapes, but a huge thanks to @fullplatebuilds for convincing me that a palm tree would work best in this environment. Significant help was getting a lot of feedback from my gents on the BrickzLab server! I would say this improved the moc overall!
Like always, feedback is very appreciated, and make sure to checkout Brickz Lab and Dark Times!
