A view of snow covered peaks from the town of Narkanda in Himachal Pradesh.Situated at a height of over 8500 feet above sea level some 60 kms from Shimla ,Narkanda is one of the most beautiful daytrips from Shimla.This area is famous for its apple and cherry orchards and is very lovely in springtime when the orchards are in bloom and the distant snowpeaks are sparkiling white after the heavy snowfall of winter.However , Autumn with its warmer tints and deep blue skies is also very beautiful.
